There is no doubt about it, the planet is in trouble and we all have a part to play by reducing emissions, recycling and ensuring that the goods we purchase are from sustainable and environmentally friendly sources wherever possible. We thought it would be better to start our new business on the right footing and make sure that the environment and sustainability play a key part from the outset.
Sustainability
FourSquareCorners ensure that our wood and board is sourced using sustainable forestry practices with a full chain of custody. All of our frames are made from FSC certified materials and his means no destruction to the habitat of indigenous people or endangered wildlife species, no slave labour, no pollution and avoids over-harvesting of forest regions like the Amazon rainforest.
Environment and Recycling
Our glues, stains and dyes are either water or vegetable oil based and we avoid the use of any chemicals that are harmful to the environment. The wood, boards and all wood based materials we use are FSC certified and 100% natural, the only other products we use such as pins and clips are mostly metal and these along with our chosen wood based products are fully recyclable with no nasties going into the oceans or soil.
